How to configure Windows Logon Screen to show Account Logon Box

From time to time I will come across the issue were a computer will list all the user accounts on the windows logon screen. I don’t like all of the clutter so I will opt to have a sign in box. In order to modify this setting we will need to open Local Security Policy (secpol.msc).

You can access it by pressing start and in the search box type “secpol.msc”.
Alternatively, you can get to it by pressing Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Local Security Policy.

Once the Local Security Policy window is displayed, open Security Settings>Local Policies and click on Security Options. Scroll until you find “Interactive logon: Do not display last user name”. Double click it to open the properties window and change the policy to “Enabled”.

Reboot your computer and now you should just have a logon box!
